Product Overview:

This Havan Wood is Made From 100% Natural Mango Wood. In Vedic Hinduism, a home also known as havan is a fire ritual performed on special occasions by a Hindu priest usually for a homeowner. A home is known by alternative names, such as yajna in Hinduism which sometimes means larger public fire rituals or jajnavidhana. In modern times, a home tends to be a private ritual around a symbolic fire, such as those observed at a wedding. Havan is the most ancient form of Hindu prayer, a religious ceremony to fuse all desires and requests with the universe. BongMela brings Aam ki Lakdi / Mango wood which is widely used for havan, fuel for cooking.

As part of the holy fire in the invocation is a bundle of sticks called in Sanskrit, "Samithu". Samithu (wood used for homam) : erukku, purasu, karungali, nayuruvi, arasu, athi, vanni, arugam grass etc. Samithu is the bundle of dry sticks with which the fire is invoked in any Homam. The sticks of Erukku, Purasu, Karungali, Arasu, Athi, and Vanni that fall down themselves and get dried are collected and bundled for offering to God by invoking fire. Also, the dried grasses like Nayuruvi, Arugan, etc. also form part of Samithu. For those who are doing self-enquiry they may be having yagna in which all the thoughts are the SAMITHU. The question will be (who I am ) will be the ghee falls into the fire of yagna. The ghee and the samithu all get burned, and the prasam is the thoughtless stage, which gives the enlightenment.
